Dr. Racheal Kalaba is a scholar, practitioner, and global advocate advancing gender justice, Indigenous knowledge, and transformative leadership in Africa. She is the creator of Ubuntu Womanism, an Afro-Indigenous framework elevating the leadership of African women and girls. She completed her PhD at the University of Toronto. She is a 2025 Echidna Global Scholar at the Brookings Institution. She focuses on Indigenous Knowledge, Women and girls' leadership, entrepreneurship, and women in sports development. She is also the Founder of ZAMWILL and AFRICAWILL Foundation, championing mentorship and community-driven development for marginalized girls.
